A "Time machine" will bring you to old city and modern city.
Andong is confucianism village. Hahoe village and Byeongsansewon is very popular place.
Gyeongju had been capital city of Silla kingdom(BC57 ~ AD935, 56 Kings) for 992 years. It is still one of the major cities of Gyeongsangbuk-Do province. How the city could had been capital city for 1, 000 years and the kingdom last for 1, 000 years. I will explain on our way to Gyeongju. Gyeongju itself is a big wallless museum and World Cultural Heritage.
Busan is also old city, but it is better known as fish market, beach and movie. There is only one United Nations' cemetery in Busan. Busan was not invaded by North Korea during the Korean war(June 25, 1950 ~ July 27, 1953). So Busan has two sides; old and new.
And many cities with beautiful natural scenery and historical relics e.g. Gangreung, Sokcho, Pohang, Daepo port, Yangang, etc.
